Palo Alto based payments solutions startup Emergent Payments has raised $5m in Series D funding from previous investors and Responsible Gold Holdings. Emergent provides optimized payment solutions for merchants in high growth markets including India, South East Asia and Latin America.
The company intends to use the funds to expansion into high growth and complex emerging markets. Led by Mitch Davis, CEO, and Rossini Zumwalt, Chief Payment Officer, Emergent Payments provides digital merchants with a payments platform to grow their business in complex emerging markets like Latin America, Asia, India, and Eastern Europe. The company has development centers in North Carolina and Shanghai, as well as international offices in Luxembourg, India, China, South Korea, Brazil, Singapore, Malaysia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Japan.
