San Francisco based independent contractor payment and lending service has raised $5m of Series A capital led by Mosaik. The company also announced $102m in debt financing led by Route 66.

Qwil, which provides a service to quickly pay independent contractors, will use the money to hire engineers, expand sales and marketing, and to address regulatory compliance.
