Bloomberg reports that the digital first bank with more than 5m customers is close to closing a round with DST Global at a valuation north of $5bn.

The funding round is slated to be led by DST Global, said the person, who asked not to be identified discussing private information. DST also led the company’s previous funding round that closed in March, which valued Chime at about $1.5 billion. DST has invested in a number of high-profile fintech startups including Robinhood Markets Inc., Brex Inc. and Stripe Inc.
