NYC opens cyberattack defense center in response to growing risks

New York City, in coordination with 282 partners including Amazon, IBM, The Federal Reserve and the NYPD, opened an operational command center to monitor national cyber threats and aid in preventative measures amongst regional constituents. The center is the first of its kind in the United States.

“If any city in America needs this cross-sector and government collaboration, it’s us,” said Cyrus Vance Jr., the Manhattan DA.
