New intelligence capabilities that have been added to the Square AI conversational assistant include external weather, events, news and reviews data, the company said in a press release. When this data is merged with sellers’ own business metrics, sellers can gain insights that will inform their decisions around menus, staffing and inventory, according to the release.
“With Square AI, we’re making it far easier for sellers to follow their curiosity and make data-driven decisions—and at the same time, equipping them with the ability to react in real time to information, like weather forecasts or holiday patterns,” Willem Avé, global head of product at Square, said in the release.
