DBS Bank, the largest bank in Southeast Asia, announced that they will be giving consumers Kasisto’s AI-powered smart bots that can carry on conversations with customers and help them complete a wide range of banking tasks.
DBS is working with US-based Kasisto, a spin-off from SRI International which created the technology behind Siri (Apple's voice assistant), to deliver this service. Kasisto's conversational AI platform, KAI, powers smart bots and virtual assistants with deep banking knowledge. For a start, the conversational AI technology will allow DBS customers to access banking services quickly on Facebook Messenger by the end of the year. The service will first be launched in Singapore and India, followed by DBS’ other key markets. DBS also plans to extend this service to other mobile messaging apps like WhatsApp and WeChat in the future.
