Reonomy competitor Xceligent shuts down, will liquidate amid legal battle with CoStar

The Board for Missouri based CRE data provider, Xceligent, has filed Chapter 7 after completing its annual strategic review.  We are super proud of our portfolio company, Reonomy (as well as office mates), and its CEO Richard Sarkis' for their ability to keep innovating and always staying one step ahead of the competition.

The decision is a victory for CoStar, which sued Xceligent last December for allegedly republishing large volumes of photos and other proprietary data from CoStar and its LoopNet affiliate. Xceligent denied any wrongdoing and countered that CoStar was engaging in anticompetitive activities in violation of the terms of the regulatory approval that allowed it to acquire LoopNet.
