Birch raises $1 million to help you reap the best credit card rewards

San Francisco based credit card rewards startup Birch Finance has raised a $1m Seed Round from AGP Miami, Kevin Johnson (former CEO of eBates), and Frank Azor (founder of Alienware).

Birch currently integrates with more than 19,000 banks and 175 credit cards. Although it has partnerships with companies like Qantas Airlines and Barclays, those deals don’t affect which cards Birch promotes, Cohen said. Birch gets affiliate revenue in the event someone picks a card from one of those partners. Currently, Birch says its users see a 30-50 percent increase in rewards earnings, without having to make any changes to their spending habits. Birch has also seen “pretty high engagement” as of late, with about one quarter of its users logging in two to three times per week.
