Last week the “foundation” behind Kik, the company that raised $100m in an ICO in 2017 for the “Kin” token, set up a new website: www.defendcrypto.org to help raise money take on the SEC. The FT's Alphaville have found some wags who have set up an alternative site called www.defundcrypto.org - check it out its pretty funny!
I was pretty outraged that a VC would do a fundraising campaign for his ICO that's already raised $100m. But I decided that rather than expressing my outrage on Twitter, I should make my own site . . . We all spend a lot of time yelling into the abyss on Twitter, and this is a little more palatable. And so, over several whiskies, he purchased the domain name defundcrypto.org, and along with Cas Piancey and Kyle Gibson, set to work on building a site, riffing off the Defend Crypto one. It's great:
