After years of defaulting public posts and joke transaction descriptions, Venmo has removed its global social feed. This comes after increasing privacy concerns and security leaks amongst notable users such as President Biden. Venmo has 70m users.

Venmo removes public news feed over privacy concerns
“As part of our ongoing efforts to continually evolve the Venmo platform, while staying true to the heart of the Venmo experience, we are removing the global feed...this change allows customers to connect and share meaningful moments and experiences with the people who matter most," said a public statement by Venmo.
