San Francisco based insurance startup Bunker has raised $2m in Series Seed financing, led by Comcast Ventures and Route-66 with participation from Hiscox and American Family Ventures. Bunker is focused on helping 1099 workers and their employers quickly find and purchase the appropriate coverage.
Comcast Ventures and Route 66 Ventures co-led a $2 million seed funding round in Bunker, a San Francisco-based insurance technology startup. Also participating were insurance carriers Hiscox and American Family Ventures. Bunker plans to launch its first product this summer and is focused at present on serving small businesses.
