The industry is now under fire not just from unhappy customers, but also from politicians who argue that insurers should be doing more to help struggling businesses through the crisis. Yet even before the postmortem is complete urgent attention is turning from this outbreak to how to deal with the next one, with some believing that could possibly be within the next six months if there is a second wave of Covid-19 infections that forces a return to national lockdowns.
