Bitcoin continues to be legitimized, the latest example coming from academia, where top ranked schools develop curriculm on cryptocurreny. Stanford is the latest university to offer a course to its students.
NYU and Duke were each ranked in the top 10 in relevant categories in the US News and World Report. NYU’s first course was called The Law and Business of Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies. The Duke course was called Innovation, Disruption and Cryptoventures, with a research emphasis on potential businesses that use the block chain. Princeton offers a course, Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies, through Coursera. First offered in the spring, the course begins once more in September 2015.
