According to McKinsey the average age of insurance professionals is pegged at 59 years old, but the industry is changing. “By 2020, the insurance industry will be hiring around 400,000 people,” said Lindsey Pollak, The Hartford’s millennial workplace expert. “This is happening because of the retirement of baby boomers and the growth of the industry. The problem is, only about 5 percent of millennial students in college say they are interested in studying a field related to insurance,” adds Pollak,
