KPMG released their quarterlyanalysis of global venture capital trends in the fintech sector. According to the report, in 2015 the global investment in fintech companies totaled $19b, with $14b invested into VC-backed fintech companies, a 106% percent YOY increase.
’The Pulse of Fintech’ is a quarterly report created by KPMG Enterprise and KPMG Fintech along with CB Insights (the ‘go to’ name for insights related to venture capital investment). The series analyzes the latest global trends in venture capital investment data on the fintech sector and was created as the sister report to the Venture Pulse Report. Given the significant interest in fintech globally, and its ongoing evolution in terms of market drivers, technologies and potential use-cases, KPMG and CB Insights are partnering to bring you the pulse of fintech investment globally.
