Hundreds of parents have suffered delays getting their money back for cancelled school trips after the UK’s largest cashless payments service for schools was inundated with withdrawal requests.
Parents took to social media and Trustpilot, the online rating site, to complain about delays processing withdrawal requests and having to “jump through hoops” to get money paid back into multiple bank accounts. Dee Winks of Cambridgeshire said she encountered problems trying to withdraw a £185 refund for her Year 6 son’s cancelled school trip, which took more than two weeks to resolve. “The problems started when the system would only allow me to withdraw £175 to the card account they had on record,” said Mrs Winks.
