Armed with a grant he hopes to get from a £775m fund designed to boost competition in UK business banking, Blomfield wants to offer something akin to Stripe Atlas, the business product from San Francisco fintech giant Stripe. The Stripe service, which has been used by thousands of entrepreneurs across 120 countries since its 2016 launch, allows foreign businesses to easily set up a corporation in Delaware with a linked US bank account and US debit card.
