Just one donkey, Dillon, is fitted with the innovative new "payment saddle". The animal, described on the website as liking "cuddles" and "winding others up", will now be fitted with a tack designed by Seymourpowell, the company that was also behind the world’s first cordless kettle and concepts for the interior of the Virgin Galactic spacecraft. “It’s just a pilot scheme at the moment,” said Mr Ineson, who owns a total of 14 donkeys. “The illuminations begin at the end next week, which are really popular for us, so that’s the testing time. “If it does take off, I could see us doing the same thing with two or three more donkeys.”
