Business that sign up for the point-of-sales system before October 31, 2014 will pay a promotional rate of 1.75% per card swipe on major credit and debit cards until January 1, 2016. Then the price will in increase to 2.5% per swipe. Merchants who sign up after October will also pay the 2.5% rate.
