CME in Agreement with FinTech Sandbox for Data Access

Publicly traded company, CME Group, said in a press release this week that it has signed an agreement with non-profit FinTech Sandbox, to provide access to historical futures and options trading data, and help facilitate innovation among fintech startups. FinTech Sandbox will gain 6 months of free access to the data feeds, along with APIs from a host of partners working with the non-profit around the world. These types of deals offer a tremendous leg up of fintech startups, helping tsolve and in build products that meet the robust standards of large financial institutions.

CME’s Group Managing Director of Market Technology and Data Services, Craig Mohan, said: “We formed this agreement with FinTech Sandbox because we strongly believe in supporting entrepreneurs in the global FinTech community… The futures industry was built on innovation and we are excited to help startups make advancements in areas that will positively impact our customers.”
