Israeli fintechs face up to coronavirus chaos

For the 500 or so companies that make up Israel’s financial technology universe, the disruptions caused by the coronavirus present both opportunity and risk

Insurance companies are going to see a surge in claims around the world, alongside with travel insurance claims, and almost all of that will have to be handled while staff are mostly working from home, said Roni Al-Dor, the CEO & President of Nasdaq-listed Sapiens International, which sells business software for financial firms.  “Some of the factors influencing the banks and insurance companies that are our clients are similar in nature and similar at a global level,” he said. “From business continuity plans and disaster recovery plans, their execution and adapting to working from home, and transforming themselves into a completely different mode of functioning.”
