There are already frameworks that allow you to use web technologies to build an iPhone app, but nothing quite like React Mobile. Facebook's newest contribution to the open source world, is looking to be a game changer for mobile development.
If you are plugged into the world of JavaScript development, no doubt you have heard the news: React.js has gone Mobile. On the 28th of January, Tom Occhino, software engineer for Facebook and React.js Conf 2015 keynote speaker, introduced React Native to the world. Like React.js, React Native aims to afford composable component development to the iOS and Android universes. In 2011 Facebook created a UI library for internal use which they eventually named React.js. Following the acquisition of Instagram, Facebook developers used React.js to build the web site compliment to the popular mobile application. In May of 2014, Facebook released React.js as a BSD licensed open source project. Since release to the general public React.js has been iterated several times, currently resting at v0.12.2 (v0.13.0 is in beta).
